  • 1 cup parmesan cheese, grated Use fresh for better taste.
  • 4 leaves fresh basil, for garnish Adds a fresh flavor.

Preparation

  • Cook the pasta according to the package instructions until al dente. Drain and set aside.
  • In a large skillet, heat olive oil over medium heat. Add minced garlic and crushed red pepper flakes, cooking until fragrant.
  • Stir in the marinara sauce and bring to a simmer.
  • Mix in the heavy cream, allowing it to cook for a few minutes until the sauce thickens slightly.
  • Toss the cooked pasta in the sauce, ensuring it’s evenly coated.
  • Stir in grated parmesan cheese and season with salt and pepper to taste.
  • Serve immediately, garnished with fresh basil.

Notes

Store leftovers in an airtight container in the refrigerator for up to three days. Reheat gently on stovetop with a splash of water or cream to revive the sauce. For longer storage, consider freezing for up to a month.
