Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C) and prepare an 8x8 inch baking pan by greasing it or lining it with parchment paper.
In a food processor, combine the chickpeas, almond butter or peanut butter, honey or maple syrup, vanilla extract, baking powder, cinnamon, and salt. Blend until the mixture is smooth and creamy.
If desired, hand-mix in the chocolate chips for an extra decadent treat.
Pour the batter into your prepared baking pan and spread it evenly.
Bake for 25-30 minutes, or until the edges begin to turn golden and a toothpick inserted into the center comes out clean.
