Pour in the orzo pasta and broth, bringing the mixture to a boil. Once boiling, reduce the heat to a simmer.
Stir in the broccoli florets, cooking until the orzo is tender and most of the liquid has been absorbed, approximately 8-10 minutes.
Remove from heat and stir in the cheddar cheese and heavy cream until everything is melted and creamy.
Season with salt and pepper to taste, then serve warm.
