  • 1 lb steak (such as sirloin or ribeye) Choose your preferred steak cut.
  • 2 cups cooked rice (white or brown) Prepare rice according to package instructions.
  • 1 cup mixed hibachi vegetables (such as zucchini, bell peppers, and onions) Feel free to customize vegetable mix.
  • 2 tablespoons garlic butter Adds rich flavor.
  • to taste soy sauce Drizzle over the assembled bowls.
  • to taste salt and pepper For seasoning the steak.
  • for garnish green onions Optional, for garnish.

Instructions

Cooking

  • Cook the rice according to the package instructions and set aside.
  • In a skillet or grill pan, melt the garlic butter over medium-high heat.
  • Season the steak with salt and pepper, then add it to the hot skillet. Cook each side for about 4-5 minutes for medium-rare.
  • Remove the steak from the pan and let it rest for several minutes before slicing thinly.
  • In the same skillet, add the mixed vegetables and sauté until tender, around 3-4 minutes.
  • Assemble your bowls by placing a generous scoop of rice at the bottom, topping it with sliced steak and sautéed vegetables.
  • Drizzle soy sauce over the top and garnish with green onions if desired. Serve immediately while warm.

Notes

For a more intense flavor, marinate the steak in a mixture of soy sauce, garlic, and ginger for a couple of hours before cooking. Consider using a variety of vegetables to enhance the dish.
