Ingredients

Apple Mixture

  • 4 cups apples, peeled and sliced
  • 1 teaspoon cinnamon
  • 2 tablespoons honey Maple syrup can be used as a substitute.

Topping

  • 1 cup oats
  • 1/2 cup mixed nuts, chopped

Serving Options

  • 1 cup yogurt or milk For serving.
  • Ice cream (optional, for dessert)

Instructions

Preparation

  • Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C).
  • In a bowl, combine the sliced apples, cinnamon, and honey. Mix well to ensure the apples are coated.
  • Spread the apple mixture evenly in a baking dish.
  • In another bowl, combine the oats and chopped nuts, and sprinkle this mixture over the apples.

Baking

  • Bake for 25-30 minutes, or until the apples are tender and the topping is a lovely golden color.
  • Serve warm with yogurt or milk for breakfast, or with a scoop of ice cream for dessert.

Notes

To keep leftovers fresh, store the apple crumble in an airtight container in the refrigerator for 3-4 days. Freeze before baking for longer storage.
