  • 1/2 cup peanut butter or almond butter Use sunflower seed butter for a nut-free option.
  • 1/4 cup maple syrup or honey Agave syrup can be used for a vegan option.
  • 1/4 cup cocoa powder
  • 1 tsp vanilla extract For an extra burst of flavor, add a splash of almond extract.
  • 1/4 tsp salt
  • 1/2 cup chocolate chips Reserve some for a chunkier texture.

  • Place the rinsed chickpeas, peanut butter, maple syrup, cocoa powder, vanilla extract, and salt into a food processor. Blend until the mixture is smooth and creamy.
  • Once blended, gently stir in the chocolate chips until they’re evenly distributed throughout the batter.
  • Serve immediately as a dip or store in the refrigerator for up to a week.

Notes

Can be enjoyed as a dip with fresh fruits or as a spread. Store in an airtight container in the fridge or freeze in small portions for later use. For creative twists, try adding flavors like cinnamon or swirls of caramel sauce.
